Introducing the Survival Condo Project – it does not just let you survive any apocalypse but it also lets you live luxuriously by the time doomsday comes.
It looks like an underground facility just by looking at its entrance. It may look like an ordinary door for you but each of those doors actually weight 16000 pounds.
This residential complex is found in the former underground missile silo near Concordia, Kansas, USA. This silo was originally built by the U.S. Army in 1960s to test their missiles. There are about 72 of these silos constructed all around United States.
Its walls are 9 feet thick and are made out of epoxy-hardened concrete. Such design allows it to survive a direct nuclear strike. Its dome structure covering the silo cap could also withstand winds more than 500 mph.
It goes 174 feet below the ground and could house 70 people. If you’re worried about food and water, there’s no need for that. This condo can store enough resources to allow its occupants to live for years.
The condos also have several amenities like a pool, a theatre and a gym. It also has classrooms and libraries. In case medical emergencies, it also stores medicines and has its surgery centre.
When you talk about security, its security systems are of military grade making this facility safer.
One unit is about 2000 square feet in size and costs anywhere between $1.5 million to $3 million. As expensive as it may be, the units are already sold out. But, Larry Hall, the brainchild of this project, is already on his way of working on the second one.
