West Sussex, UK – 4 July 2014 – Renowned designer Vivienne Westwood, at 73, has partnered with Virgin Atlantic to design the airline’s newest attire. She has now unveiled the uniforms. All Virgin Atlantic crew and staff will wear the uniforms starting 1 September of this year.
The uniforms have been beautifully tailored and made from polyester yarn, which came from recycled plastic bottles. The uniforms are given a nano finish so that the garments can be used for a long time, and they will retain their colour longer.
The new uniforms have high collars, and the blouses feature ruffles at the front. The pencil-cut skirt just at the knee makes the ladies look elegant. Vivienne also designed coats with high collars. They are designed as a drape coat. They are double breasted to create a sophisticated look for the wearers. Vivienne also designed red shoes. These essential wear has been given panache with Vivienne’s hourglass heel. These are for the ladies.
For the gentlemen, they will get a three-piece suit.
